Outdoor Lighting Offers Unlimited
Possibilities!

Landscaping Lighting |
Coming home in the dark for the next
several months isn't your only option.
Have you considered outdoor landscape
lighting? We're not just talking about
the warm glow from your front porch.
Outdoor lighting is so much more. It can
be as simple as lighting your walkway
with little more than a light bulb
inside an ornamental fixture. This small
improvement provides a safe path for
guests walking to the front door for
your holiday parties. But let's talk
BIG. Have you ever considered
illuminating the trunks of your
beautiful Queen Palms or Italian Cypress
as well as the garden beds and
architectural details of your home?
Let's not forget the unique botanical
specimens you bought your wife for her
Zen garden? Or maybe it's the statue,
sculpture or water feature you designed
your landscape around? How about
ambience lighting around your fire pit
or hot tub? The installation of a few
lights appropriately placed throughout
your property allows you to use your
yard year round and your sense of
style to shine through the night. Your
possibilities are endless. Call
GroundHOG today to discuss your outdoor
lighting needs.
Want something special for the
HOLIDAYS? Perhaps you're in the mood to
create that special effect for the
holiday without spending hours wrapping
your landscape or standing on a ladder.
We offer a revolutionary landscape light
projector that will project thousands of
pin-points of light onto your trees,
house and yard. This 25' x 25' blanket
of light spray offers a very affordable
stationary option or the higher end
moveable light spray.

Question of the month!
Last year was ridiculously cold and I
lost several expensive palms. What
can be done to protect my landscape?
Doc Green says, "You have many options,
but the least expensive and most
practical is wrapping your palms.
This is only a short term solution
(since a freeze doesn't last long in the
south). GroundHOG offers this
service, but you must sign up in
advance. This service requires a
lot of preparation preventing last
minute services from logistically
happening. Call now for pricing
information."

"GREEN" Tip of the Month
NOW is the time to fertilize your
camellias for optimal fall/winter
blooming. If you enjoy putting
your camellia flowers in bud vases
or bowls to enjoy in your home,
consider adding a little EM.1
(Effective Microorganisms) to keep
the blooms looking pretty longer.

Time to Plant Trees & Shrubs!
Regardless of your landscaping style, Fall is the perfect time to plant trees, shrubs, camellias, and azaleas. Fall planting is highly recommended because as the top of the plant begins to go dormant, the root system continues to grow. Leaf function slows and stops as days grow shorter, even in evergreens. The plant's roots can concentrate on growing, rather than supporting the moisture and other needs of the top part of the plant. GroundHOG is currently scheduling tree installations.
